Noble Aye sent to solitary

88 Generation Student activist Noble Aye has been put in solitary confinement in Monywa prison. She was sentenced to 11 years in jail in November 2008 having been arrested for her involvement in the fuel price hike demonstrations lead by the 88 Generation Students in August 2007. There are very serious fears for her health as she has been unwell for some time. Full details can be read on The Irrawaddy website.

 

Tin Aye

This is Tin Aye. He was a former leader of the All Burma Federation of Student Unions. He was detained for 16 years in Insein and Mandalay prisons.
