Moustache Brothers, Burma’s famous comedy trio

The Moustache Brothers, Burma’s most famous comedians after Zarganar, are a traditional Burmese A-nyeint comedy group, renowned for live performances that combine screwball comedy, classic Burmese dance, and sharply satirical criticism of the Burmese military regime. Brothers Par Par Lay, Lu Maw and cousin Lu Zaw, although banned by the authorities since 1995 when two of them were jailed, continue to perform each night to tourists, educating many about the reality of life inside Burma.
